Professional Biography
Dr. Juan Janse van Nieuwenhuizen is a Neurophysiologist and University lecturer based in Pretoria, South Africa. He completed the degrees PhD Neurophysiology, MSc Neurophysiology, BScHons Neurophysiology and BMedSc, all at the University of Pretoria, as well as a ND and BTech Clinical Neurophysiology degree at the Tshwane University of Technology.

He has obtained certifications in various fields including Neurography and Electromyography - through Akademiska Sjukhuset in Sweden; Medical Law - through the Law Society of South Africa and South African Medico-legal Association; and Neurological Life Support - through the International Neurocritical Care Society, to name a few. He is also certified in the AMA Evaluation of Permanent Impairment by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME).

He is currently Director and practising Clinical Neurophysiologist at Dr Janse van Nieuwenhuizen & Associates Inc and Senior Lecturer at the Tshwane University of Technology, Department of Biomedical Sciences. He also supervises and guest lectures in the field of Neurophysiology (Postgraduate) at the University of Pretoria, School of Medicine. He has presented and lectured at many national and international conferences and is an avid public speaker.
